ABOUT STEPHANIE

Stephanie Lem is a speech language pathologist with experience assessing and treating a variety of speech and language disorders in the pediatric population. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Stephanie obtained her Bachelor of Science with a Specialization in Psychology at the University of Alberta before completing her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology at Idaho State University. ​

Stephanie has special interests in speech sound disorders. She approaches therapy with a family centered, play-based philosophy that is guided by evidence-based practice. 

Stephanie is a registered member with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC) and a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).

ABOUT KARALYN

Karalyn Overholt is a Speech-Language Pathologist who completed her Master of Science in Audiology and Speech Sciences at the University of British Columbia.


In addition to working at Kootenay SLP, Karalyn also works part time at Kootenay Family Place in Castlegar. Karalyn enjoys collaborating with other pediatric consultants and connecting with families to provide the best care for clients. Karalyn’s approach to therapy is family-centered, strength-based and play-focused.


Karalyn is a registered member with the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of British Columbia (CSHBC) and a member of Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC).
